Allure, the French word for bearing or appearance. Avoir de l'allure, a French expression meaning to have style and a certain elegance. At Château Canon, the different “allures”, or bearings, of our wines allow us to describe our vintages and their unique characteristics. These are elegant, balanced or extreme, all different, yet all expressions of the same terroir. Each year imparts its nuances and character to the wine,
creating numerous versions of the same style

After slowly developing for over 85 years in the bottle, this wine presents quite exceptional balance. Its structure is perfectly balanced. This superb vintage demonstrates the great structure of the finest crus. An abundance of red and dark fruits lies behind an almost mineral attack. Its intensity comes through in powerful, vegetal notes, such as rhubarb. This characterful wine is dense and taut on the palate. It resembles the wines of 1928; the year’s great freshness can be perceived behind its still tight structure. It reflects the understated elegance of the archetypal gentleman. Magnificent aging potential.
