After slowly developing for over 85 years in the bottle, this wine presents quite exceptional balance. Its structure is perfectly balanced. The superb nose offers mellow notes of vanilla, followed by aromas of white truffle, gingerbread, honey and beeswax. The tannins are particularly fine on the palate, despite the wine’s remarkably thick texture. This is the embodiment of a very great wine, approaching Château Canon’s ideal of perfection. It is little wonder that this wine is considered to be one of the century’s four greatest vintages.

This superb vintage demonstrates the great structure of the finest crus. An abundance of red and dark fruits lies behind an almost mineral attack. Its intensity comes through in powerful, vegetal notes, such as rhubarb. This characterful wine is dense and taut on the palate. It resembles the wines of 1928; the year’s great freshness can be perceived behind its still tight structure. It reflects the understated elegance of the archetypal gentleman. Magnificent aging potential.

This wine is a fine deep red in colour. It presents highly complex aromas with great structure and tautness on the palate. Full of character, it combines fine acidity with a certain opulence, both qualities which signal an incredible year (without doubt the greatest since 1995).
